Should Makeup Make You Unrecognizable?

Hello makeup lovers,

I am going to talk briefly about the above topic. You can also share your thoughts on this post in the comment section because I really want to know your views. Thank you.

Makeup, when applied the right way, in the right places, in a subtle way, enhances your features and makes you beautiful. It gives you that confidence knowing you are looking beautiful.

You may want to enhance some features or play them down. Doing this in a subtle way, will be beautiful and attractive. But when you EXTREMELY or EXCESSIVELY enhance features or play them down, you become someone or something else; and that's DECEIT. (oh yes!).

The picture above, can be used as an example. To be honest, this is a very beautiful makeover. But take a look at the chin, jaw lines and cheek bones in the picture. I think they have been extremely done. I will definitely scream if I see the top left face after her makeup is off; because the top left face and the bottom right face are too glaring different!

I have seen lots of women called FAKE because they were totally unrecognizable after their makeup application.

Don't get me wrong, it's fine to try to cover up scars, burns, acne or any ugly mark on your skin with makeup. But when you EXTREMELY  contour your nose line, jaw lines, cheek bones etc or go over board, wearing your lip colour outside your lip lines to make them look fuller, you become unrecognizable and send out negative signals.

I watch a very popular reality TV show. I love the show, but what puts me off is the fact that most times, I can't seem to recognize the same faces I watch everyday after they have been professionally and extremely  made up! ( Now to me, that is funny)

You may have a broad nose and want to contour it to give an illusion off as thin. Do this in a subtle way, so when you are seen, you will be given a compliment, as looking beautiful rather than been asked WHO YOU ARE. It's embarrassing!

Now let's take a sneak peek into how men feel about all these. Most men seem to agree with me on this (yes) Men love to see their women beautiful, sexy and be themselves. A man don't want to lie in bed with one woman and wake up with another. When I say 'another' I mean she's totally different and unrecognizable in the morning because her makeup is off. Now, the man feels you are fake and deceitful. Trust me, no one wants to feel this way. And it sends negative signals out about you.

THE EFFECTS :

» you will be seen as fake and deceitful.

» you will be seen as someone with a low self esteem.

» you will be seen as someone who can't be trusted

» and it's totally embarrassing when you are not recognized because of the way you applied your makeup.

» looks unnatural

» loss of individuality.

So the question is, should makeup make you unrecognizable? I honestly think it shouldn't. It only sends out negative vibes, and knowing that negative vibes add no positivity to you, it's not worth it.

In conclusion, apply makeup in a subtle way, enhance and play down features in a subtle way, looking beautiful and still recognized by your spouse, child or friends.
