HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE 1.
Hello makeup lovers,
Today, am going to talk about knowing your skin type and basic tips on how to care for different skin types.
It is essential that you know your skin type. This is important because you may just end up buying expensive skincare products that are wrong for your skin thereby having a collection of products that you can't use again.
Simple Tissue -test To Know Your Skin Type
There are other tests to determine your skin type, but here's a simple test- Wipe your face with a clean tissue when you wake up in the morning.
Normal Skin: The tissue is oil free and your skin feels supple as ever.
Dry Skin: The tissue is oil free but your skin feels dry and tight.
Oily Skin: The tissue has oil spots and your face looks oily especially the T-zone.
Combination Skin: The tissue has oil traces when you wipe your T-zone or chin but it's clean when you wipe your cheeks.
Sensitive Skin: People with this type of skin don't need this test to figure it out. Sensitive skins usually react poorly to several things- harsh sunlight, dehydration, cosmetics and weather.
I hope you enjoyed reading and were able to determine your skin type. Next post will talk about caring for your different skin types.
