Sometimes, we may not be able to afford top-of-the-range, expensive beauty products. If you find yourself in such situation, don't worry. Here are a list of budget beauty tips.

1- A drop of nail remover added to a bottle dried-up nail Polish will revive it in a few seconds. Just shake well so it can mix thoroughly.

2- Swap commercial face scrubs for a handful of oatmeal massaged directly on your skin. This will give you a smooth soft skin.

3- Cotton wool balls soak up liquids such as toners , so dampen them with water first. squeeze out the excess, then use as usual.

4- To get the last drop from almost empty bottles, store them upside down overnight.

5- Look out for "3 for the price of 2" offers on your favourite products

6- Stand a dried up mascara in a glass of warm water to bring it back to life.

7- Turn ordinary mascara into the lash-lengthening variety by dusting eyelashes with a little translucent powder first.

8- Rub a dab of petroleum jelly around the neck of a new nail Polish bottle, and it should be easy to open for the entire life of the product.

9- If you have run out of blusher, dot a little pink lipstick on to your cheeks and blend well with your fingers.

10- There's a trend at the moment for 2-in-1 products. They can save you money as you buy only one product that does two jobs. Examples of this are shower gels that are also body scrubs and hair shampoos with built in conditioners.

14- Add a few drops of your favourite eau de toilette to some olive oil, and use as a scented bath oil as a cheap treat.


15- Mix different colour lipsticks at the back of your hand with a brush, to create new shades for free.

16- When you are out of tooth paste, brush with bicarbonate of soda. It will make them extra white too.

17- Put your lip and eye pencils in the refrigerator before sharpening, as this means they are less likely to break.

18- A drop of olive oil rubbed nightly into your nails will help them grow long and strong.

19- Sharpen dull eyebrow tweezers by rubbing sandpaper along the tips.

20- Add a drop of water to the remains of a foundation to use every last dot.
